2014 - 2019, found print materials, fire. 

Process: These images were created using fire as the primary editing and drawing tool. Found images from various historical and non-fiction books were selected based on their varying age and printing methods. Using a lighter I would ball up fuel in the center of the image and ignite it, then slowly fan the corners of the image to allow more air in allowing me to control the flow and intensity of the fires effect. Images were gently transferred to a copy stand for documentation.
